Updates from Birding Buddies Workshop
We had our first in-person "How to be a Birding Buddy" workshop in Kolkata, in collaboration with the Birdwatchers’ Society. With valuable insights gleaned from past workshops, we revamped our format for an enriching experience.
Here's a glimpse of what went down:
Two half-day sessions packed with knowledge and fun (9 am-2 pm).
With most attendees being seasoned bird-watchers, we dove straight into engaging activities tailored to fostering connections with kids from diverse backgrounds, aligning with BWS' School of Bird program.
Over the course of two days, we explored games and art as tools for nature education, had insightful discussions and group activities, and learnt tips and tricks to conduct effective engagements with children.
Our focus? Empowering participants to engage with budding bird lovers of all ages, igniting a passion for nature. A huge thank you to everyone who joined!
You can also be a Birding Buddy. Here’s a playlist to help you with that.
